The audience thought a goal was coming when Marquinhos de Sousa got free with Casper Jans in the 4th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. FC St. Pauli's Guilherme Mendonça played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ivar Axelsson in the 6th minute of play. Racing Matinette were awarded a corner in the 7th minute after FC St. Pauli's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Qu Hong Liang took the corner. In the 9th minute, Ivar Axelsson ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Guilherme Mendonça was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. In the 14th minute the ball was on its way in behind FC St. Pauli's goalkeeper Guilherme Mendonça, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After having played for 16 minutes, Ivar Axelsson managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Racing Matinette's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ivar Axelsson was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Racing Matinette's Ivar Axelsson in the 18th minute got a chance for a shot 18th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Guilherme Mendonça guarding the goal like a pit bull was extremely focused and managed to reach the ball just by the crossbar before it went in. After a defensive mix-up in FC St. Pauli's zone, Ivar Axelsson stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Guilherme Mendonça came out of the goal and Ivar Axelsson tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Ivar Axelsson's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Guilherme Mendonça read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 32nd minute of play. Guilherme Mendonça showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ivar Axelsson in the 34th minute of the match. Guilherme Mendonça didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Arne Verbruggen went, in the 38th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-3 was the resulting score. Guilherme Mendonça stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ivar Axelsson's shot from short distance in the 44th minute. In the 48thth minute of the game Ivar Axelsson who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but FC St. Pauli's Guilherme Mendonça was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Dário Schmidt was the one to do the kick off. 54 minutes into the match, FC St. Pauli's goal looked a bit too open when Ivar Axelsson came free, but Guilherme Mendonça reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the match had gone on for 56 minutes, Ivar Axelsson put it in 0-4 from a short distance just to the right of Guilherme Mendonça. If Ivar Axelsson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Ivar Axelsson could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 59th minute of the match, but Guilherme Mendonça made a huge save. Guilherme Mendonça showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ivar Axelsson, who was totally free with the ball in the 61st minute. Basílio Moura's late challenge caught a Racing Matinette's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Basílio Moura helped the player get up and apologised. Guilherme Mendonça stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ivar Axelsson's shot from short distance in the 63rd minute. In the 68thth minute of the game Ivar Axelsson who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but FC St. Pauli's Guilherme Mendonça was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When Ivar Axelsson came up free with the goalie in the 69th minute, the Racing Matinette fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ivar Axelsson couldn't finish the play. With an all-out effort, Racing Matinette's Guilherme Mendonça threw himself towards the right post 71 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Ivar Axelsson, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. FC St. Pauli's defense didn't have a chance, in the 72nd minute, when Alan Creemers scored to the left of an out of position Guilherme Mendonça, making the score, 0-6. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ivar Axelsson in the 76th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Guilherme Mendonça prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Racing Matinette's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Qu Hong Liang in the 79th minute. A very nice done corner allowed Ivar Axelsson to score against Guilherme Mendonça in FC St. Pauli's goal. 0-7 after 80 minutes. Ivar Axelsson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Guilherme Mendonça having to interfere. Alan Creemers could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 84th minute of the match, but Guilherme Mendonça made a huge save. Guilherme Mendonça showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ivar Axelsson in the 86th minute of the match. Guilherme Mendonça made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ivar Axelsson in the 89th minute of play. Casper Jans took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dário Schmidt, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Racing Matinette's Ivar Axelsson got a good chance for a goal in the 92nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Racing Matinette's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
