An unexpectedly hard shot by Pavel Balc in the 9th minute of play forced AF CERRADO's goalkeeper Arlindo Guedes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Dragomir Marchovski made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Antônio Carlos Bueno in the 12th minute of play. 17 minutes into the game, Stone City's Pavel Balc nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Arlindo Guedes made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. 20 minutes into the match, Pavel Balc notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of AF CERRADO's Arlindo Guedes. In the 40thth minute of the game Pavel Balc who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but AF CERRADO's Arlindo Guedes was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 44th minute, one of AF CERRADO:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for AF CERRADO. Pavel Balc scored 1-3 in the 45th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Arlindo Guedes, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot.

Stone City's Pavel Balc got a good chance for a goal in the 57th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Pavel Balc might have been able to make a better finish in the 67th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Arlindo Guedes. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Pavel Balc ran back to his position shaking his head. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Arlindo Guedes. Stone City's Marcus Lindström was substituted for Chu Wen Le. AF CERRADO made a substitution. Thiago Damião replaced Marcos Paulista. Stone City's Leon Matthäus was substituted for Pavel Balc. AF CERRADO's Felix Smits was substituted for Carlos Alberto Jacinto. The Stone City supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Stone City would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
