Jon Iruegas was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The audience thought a goal was coming when Fernanco Peso got free with Damian Miecznikowski in the 11th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Jon Iruegas showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gustaw Kaznocha in the 12th minute of the match. In the 14th minute Oleg Sariyski shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jon Iruegas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Damian Miecznikowski made an important save on a dangerous shot by Fernanco Peso in the 19th minute. Aureliusz Kissel received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 23rd minute. Jon Iruegas tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of AC Raczyny booed when Sporting Cristal was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 25 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ludomil Kolba didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Fernanco Peso got free with Damian Miecznikowski in the 32nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 34th minute, Aureliusz Kissel hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 36th minute Sporting Cristal were awarded a corner. Gertjan De Ryck went to the cornerflag to take it. After taking down the ball on Sporting Cristal's corner Gertjan De Ryck fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Damian Miecznikowski quite easily take care of the ball. In the 42nd match minute, Sporting Cristal was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cazimir Gogea to maneuver through the defense. When Gustaw Kaznocha came up free with the goalie in the 43rd minute, the AC Raczyny fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gustaw Kaznocha couldn't finish the play. Jurand Wolniewicz hit a great freekick 45 minutes into the match. 46 minutes into the match, Fernanco Peso had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Damian Miecznikowski. AC Raczyny's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Fernanco Peso was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Gustaw Kaznocha stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Przemyslaw Kowalski kicked well hit freekick during the 53rd minute of the match. With a little luck, Sporting Cristal's Jon Iruegas got control of the ball when Oleg Sariyski tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 65th minute, Ronaldão Nogueira left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Sporting Cristal fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1. Sporting Cristal's Christian Luciano was substituted for Fernanco Peso. The AC Raczyny fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Damian Miecznikowski should have stopped the shot. Sporting Cristal's Jon Iruegas played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Aureliusz Kissel in the 85th minute of play. After 94 played minutes Sporting Cristal got a freekick which was hit by Ludomil Kolba. A collision led to Sporting Cristal getting a freekick after 95 minutes play. Hüseyin Turan Elçibey hit a great ball. In the 97th match minute, AC Raczyny was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Pascoal Festas to maneuver through the defense. Sporting Cristal's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
