The supporters of Rank 1 booed when Independente FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 3 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hudson Toscano didn't get a good kick on the ball. John Lövkvist's late challenge caught a Independente FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. John Lövkvist helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Rank 1's John Lövkvist got a free kick in the 4th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Miguel Negri got free with Marcus Hagström in the 5th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 6 played minutes Independente FC got a freekick which was hit by Álvaro Matos. Fredric Åhman took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 7th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Nando Sena. Independente FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Fabiano Antonini fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 8th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nando Sena having to interfere. In the 21st minute of the match Joaquim Eanes sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Marcus Hagström skillfully saved the ball. Nando Sena showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Staffan Söderqwist in the 22nd minute of the match. Nando Sena made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Staffan Söderqwist in the 25th minute of play. In the 26th minute of the match Rank 1 got a corner. Independente FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Fredric Åhman ran over to the corner to take the kick. Fredric Åhman made a great header on Rank 1's corner, it was just that Independente FC's Nando Sena managed to reach the ball for a save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dick Lindgren in the 27th minute of play forced Independente FC's goalkeeper Nando Sena to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Through an outstanding action, after 30 minutes, Marcus Hagström successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Luiz Marquez to make the kick off. In the 57th match minute, Rank 1 was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Östen Unesson to maneuver through the defense. Dick Lindgren in the 63rdth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Nando Sena, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. After a defensive mix-up in Independente FC's zone, Dick Lindgren stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Nando Sena came out of the goal and Dick Lindgren tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The crowd rose to their feet as Rank 1's Staffan Söderqwist slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Nando Sena. That made the score 0-2 after 70 minutes of play. A collision led to Independente FC getting a freekick after 76 minutes play. Wiliam Campidelis hit a great ball. After 76 played minutes, Rank 1's Fredric Åhman shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Nando Sena came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Rank 1 reached it. Dick Lindgren fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nando Sena having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Luiz Marquez in the 88th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Marcus Hagström saved Rank 1 from getting behind. Nando Sena made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Staffan Söderqwist in the 90th minute of play. In the 92nd minute Fabiano Antonini shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nando Sena saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Marcus Hagström made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Miguel Negri in the 95th minute of play. Rank 1's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
