If François Rouvrais had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by François Rouvrais in the 20th minute of play forced Swindon Sweden FF's goalkeeper Reynaldo Tino to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Reynaldo Tino took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from François Rouvrais, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After having played for 25 minutes, François Rouvrais managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FC Hamburg's supporters crossed their fingers, but François Rouvrais was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 30 minutes into the match, François Rouvrais had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Reynaldo Tino. Marcus Östman could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 37th minute of the match, but Johnny Banks made a huge save. With his leg Johnny Banks managed to avoid a goal in the 40thth minute, when Swindon Sweden FF's Brian Falck fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Reynaldo Tino took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from François Rouvrais, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Johnny Banks stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Marcus Östman's shot from short distance in the 47th minute.

FC Hamburg's François Rouvrais got a good chance for a goal in the 51st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After some careless play in the Swindon Sweden FF defense, François Rouvrais kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Reynaldo Tino. The Swindon Sweden FF fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Reynaldo Tino should have stopped the shot. Swindon Sweden FF's Reynaldo Tino played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by François Rouvrais in the 62nd minute of play. Johnny Banks showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Marcus Östman in the 63rd minute of the match. After a rather tough play, FC Hamburg's 巩卫浩 got a free kick in the 64th minute. François Rouvrais sent away a hard shot on goal in the 71st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Reynaldo Tino took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from François Rouvrais, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. François Rouvrais ran back to his position shaking his head. Swindon Sweden FF's Reynaldo Tino played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by François Rouvrais in the 72nd minute of play. 74 minutes into the match, FC Hamburg's goal looked a bit too open when Algot Spets came free, but Johnny Banks reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. François Rouvrais sent away a hard shot on goal in the 76th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Thanks to some nice moves François Rouvrais could shoot a difficult shot in the 76th minute, which Reynaldo Tino however easily saved by the left post. Reynaldo Tino made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from François Rouvrais in the 82nd minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Marcus Östman in the 87th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Johnny Banks prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Reynaldo Tino made an important save on a dangerous shot by François Rouvrais in the 89th minute. 94 minutes into the match, Swindon Sweden FF's Marcus Östman sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Johnny Banks narrowly saved just below the crossbar. When the final whistle went the supporters of FC Hamburg were delighted that their team had defeated the much more dominant Swindon Sweden FF side.
