The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Edgar Poe showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. 19 minutes into the game, Antapoca FC's Raul Gaizko nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Edgar Poe made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. Leon Llorenc stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of João Augusto Fantini's shot from short distance in the 22nd minute. Frank Kunze took the ball and in the 25 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Leon Llorenc. Leon Llorenc dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. In the 37th minute, Raul Gaizko ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Edgar Poe was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-3. In the 40th minute, Raul Gaizko made a precise shot to the right of Edgar Poe. Royal Excel Mouscron's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-4. Royal Excel Mouscron were awarded a corner in the 71th minute after Antapoca FC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Dennis Hermansson took the corner. In the 81st minute of the match Antapoca FC got a corner. Royal Excel Mouscron's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Anani Hamamdzhiev ran over to the corner to take the kick. After a rather tough play, Royal Excel Mouscron's Oscar Kindermans got a free kick in the 83rd minute. 86 minutes into the game, Antapoca FC's Bruno Ilixo nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Edgar Poe made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-7. After some careless play in the Antapoca FC defense, Frank Kunze kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Leon Llorenc. The Antapoca FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Leon Llorenc should have stopped the shot. Antapoca FC's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
