With his leg Olle Mellberg managed to avoid a goal in the 3rdth minute, when ΠΑΟΚ FC's Santiago Silva fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. 5 minutes into the game, Santiago Silva lined in a short shot 1-0 behind a frustrated Olle Mellberg. After 7 played minutes Väderstad FK got a freekick which was hit by Joacim Melin. The audience thought a goal was coming when Santiago Silva got free with Olle Mellberg in the 7th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the last second Olle Mellberg throw himself and got hold of the ball when Edmondo Del Monte in the 9thth minute from his position got away a shot towards the right post. Ingvar Nykvist showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Östen Forsberg, who was totally free with the ball in the 14th minute. Santiago Silva could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 22nd minute of the match, but Olle Mellberg made a huge save. Santiago Silva's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Olle Mellberg firmly grabbed it by the left post. Olle Mellberg was a little too slow when Edmondo Del Monte got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 25th minute. The score was now 2-0. 29 minutes into the match, Väderstad FK's goal looked a bit too open when Edmondo Del Monte came free, but Olle Mellberg reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Edvin Holmgren came up free with the goalie in the 30th minute, the Väderstad FK fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Edvin Holmgren couldn't finish the play. Ingvar Nykvist made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Edvin Holmgren in the 34th minute of play. In the 35th minute, Östen Forsberg hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Santiago Silva in the 36th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Olle Mellberg prevented the ball from getting in the gole. With a little luck, Väderstad FK's Olle Mellberg got control of the ball when Santiago Silva tried to sneak it across the goal line. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-0.

The wind increased when Edvin Holmgren made the kick off in the second half. When ΠΑΟΚ FC's Santiago Silva in the 54th minute got a chance for a shot 54th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Väderstad FK's goalie prevented a goal. After 55 minutes of play, ΠΑΟΚ FC's Edmondo Del Monte made it 4-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Olle Mellberg was left in no man's land by his defense there! 59 minutes into the match, Väderstad FK's goal looked a bit too open when Santiago Silva came free, but Olle Mellberg reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the match had gone on for 61 minutes, Santiago Silva put it in 5-0 from a short distance just to the right of Olle Mellberg. ΠΑΟΚ FC's Michalis Patsatzoglou was substituted for Thanasis Kanavos. ΠΑΟΚ FC's Sotiris Zacharakis was substituted for Edmondo Del Monte. Joacim Melin kicked well hit freekick during the 65th minute of the match. 66 minutes into the match, Väderstad FK's goal looked a bit too open when Santiago Silva came free, but Olle Mellberg reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Olle Mellberg came out of the goal in the 71st minute to try and stop a shot by ΠΑΟΚ FC's Santiago Silva. But to his dismay, Santiago Silva quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 6-0. After 73 played minutes Väderstad FK got a freekick which was hit by Östen Forsberg. 74 minutes into the match, Väderstad FK's goal looked a bit too open when Santiago Silva came free, but Olle Mellberg reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 76 minutes into the match, Sotiris Zacharakis notched a goal, 7-0, to the right of Väderstad FK's Olle Mellberg. Olle Mellberg was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Ingvar Nykvist showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Östen Forsberg in the 82nd minute of the match. Olle Mellberg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Santiago Silva in the 85th minute of play. In the 85th minute, Santiago Silva left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The ΠΑΟΚ FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 8-0. Michalis Patsatzoglou sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Väderstad FK's Olle Mellberg played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sotiris Zacharakis in the 96th minute of play. When the referee ended the match the ΠΑΟΚ FC players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
