Ernesto Tauro ran back to his position shaking his head. If Edmondo Del Monte had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ingvar Nykvist showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Edvin Holmgren in the 18th minute of the match. Joacim Melin hit a great freekick 21 minutes into the match. In the 22nd minute Santiago Silva shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Olle Mellberg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Joacim Melin kicked well hit freekick during the 28th minute of the match. After 29 played minutes, ΠΑΟΚ FC's Björn Kamp shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Olle Mellberg came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in ΠΑΟΚ FC reached it. After 32 played minutes ΠΑΟΚ FC got a freekick which was hit by Gustav Kock. 33 minutes into the match, ΠΑΟΚ FC's goalkeeper Ingvar Nykvist had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by August Granström. Olle Mellberg showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Santiago Silva, who was totally free with the ball in the 37th minute. Olle Mellberg showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Santiago Silva in the 39th minute of the match. When Edmondo Del Monte came up free with the goalie in the 45th minute, the ΠΑΟΚ FC fans jumped to their feet. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by August Granström during the 46th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The Väderstad FK players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. ΠΑΟΚ FC were winning 0-1.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Santiago Silva made a kick off. In the 52nd minute of the match ΠΑΟΚ FC got a corner. Väderstad FK's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Björn Kamp ran over to the corner to take the kick. Santiago Silva made a great header on ΠΑΟΚ FC's corner, it was just that Väderstad FK's Olle Mellberg managed to reach the ball for a save. Santiago Silva scored 0-2 in the 54th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Olle Mellberg, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 57th minute, Joacim Melin hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Olle Mellberg made a fantastic save in the 58th minute, when Björn Kamp sent off a good shot on target. ΠΑΟΚ FC made a substitution. Ronaldão Mendonça replaced Gustav Kock. A collision led to Väderstad FK getting a freekick after 75 minutes play. Joacim Melin hit a great ball. In the 76th minute the ball was on its way in behind Väderstad FK's goalkeeper Olle Mellberg, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 77th minute ΠΑΟΚ FC were awarded a corner. Björn Kamp went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner ended in Björn Kamp almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Väderstad FK's Olle Mellberg did a great save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Edvin Holmgren in the 79th minute of play forced ΠΑΟΚ FC's goalkeeper Ingvar Nykvist to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Olle Mellberg made an important save on a dangerous shot by Santiago Silva in the 80th minute. Santiago Silva's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Olle Mellberg firmly grabbed it by the left post. With a little luck, Väderstad FK's Olle Mellberg got control of the ball when Santiago Silva tried to sneak it across the goal line. Olle Mellberg showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Santiago Silva in the 86th minute of the match. But to his dismay, Santiago Silva quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-4. In the 91st minute, Petros Mirtsos left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The ΠΑΟΚ FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-5. Joacim Melin kicked well hit freekick during the 95th minute of the match. When the final whistle sounded ΠΑΟΚ FC left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Väderstad FK.
