The referee ignored Marshrose's protests and gave Blair Mélançon a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Marshrose's Blair Mélançon got a free kick in the 23rd minute. The supporters of Hammarby IF booed when Marshrose was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 26 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sammie Laderoute didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Celedonio Dominguez in the 47th minute of play forced Marshrose's goalkeeper Jakub Nieruchliwy to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Frances Tisserand to make the kick off. Jakub Nieruchliwy stood somewhat misplaced when Celedonio Dominguez came free in front of goal and shot 0-5 to the left of him in the 55 minute. Jakub Nieruchliwy showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gösta Söderberg in the 83rd minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Celedonio Dominguez in the 84th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jakub Nieruchliwy saved Marshrose from getting behind. Jakub Nieruchliwy made a fantastic save in the 85th minute, when Karl-Johan Sundén sent off a good shot on target. Celedonio Dominguez fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jakub Nieruchliwy having to interfere. Holger Vester took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bara Miss, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Karl-Johan Sundén succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 0-9 in the 94th playminute. When the final whistle sounded Hammarby IF left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Marshrose.
