Santiago Hatch didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when Belo Academy's Bernardinho Leão shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 1-1 in the ordered_time% minute. After having played for 8 minutes, Wilber Padgett managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Marshrose's supporters crossed their fingers, but Wilber Padgett was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 13 minutes into the game, Yuri Dias was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Belo Academy's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Marshrose the free kick. Luís Eduardo Mazza made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marion Moon in the 14th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Manfredo Travassos in the 15th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Santiago Hatch saved Marshrose from getting behind. Santiago Hatch made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Manfredo Travassos in the 16th minute of play. 23 minutes into the game, Bernardinho Leão cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-4. Santiago Hatch was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Isaltino Dantas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 36th minute, Bernardinho Leão made a precise shot to the right of Santiago Hatch. Marshrose's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-7. When Belo Academy's Manfredo Travassos in the 43rd minute got a chance for a shot 43rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Edward Desilets helped the player get up and apologised. After 44 played minutes Marshrose got a freekick which was hit by Edward Desilets. After 45 played minutes, Belo Academy's José Augusto de Andrade shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Santiago Hatch came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Belo Academy reached it. Bernardinho Leão struck a weak shot in the 46th minute. Santiago Hatch didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Belo Academy. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-8 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Wilber Padgett was the one to do the kick off. 58 minutes into the match, Marshrose's goalkeeper Santiago Hatch had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Manfredo Travassos. In the 63rd minute, Manfredo Travassos ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Santiago Hatch was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-11. After 68 minutes, Bernardinho Leão made it 1-13 with a short kick to the right side. Marshrose's Santiago Hatch tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Manfredo Travassos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 71st minute. Santiago Hatch tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Santiago Hatch made a fantastic save in the 72nd minute, when Bernardinho Leão sent off a good shot on target. Belo Academy's attentive Ferenc Szántó managed to snatch the ball when Bara Miss made a throw-in in the 75th minute of the game. 77 minutes into the game, Homer Childers was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Marshrose's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Belo Academy the free kick. The supporters of Belo Academy booed when Marshrose was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 77 match minutes in a wonderful position. Homer Childers didn't get a good kick on the ball. After recieving a nice pass, Belo Academy's José Augusto de Andrade tried to score from far away in the 78th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. 79 minutes into the game, Manfredo Travassos cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-14. Santiago Hatch was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Santiago Hatch came out of the goal in the 82nd minute to try and stop a shot by Belo Academy's Manfredo Travassos. But to his dismay, Manfredo Travassos quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-15. 89 minutes into the match, Bernardinho Leão had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Santiago Hatch. Marshrose's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Bernardinho Leão was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-16. When Marion Moon came up free with the goalie in the 93rd minute, the Marshrose fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Marion Moon couldn't finish the play. Bernardinho Leão had several of the Marshrose's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 95 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 1-17 score and a disappointed Santiago Hatch as he didn't even see the shot coming.
