The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Roman Beti the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Baraja Española FC protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Roman Beti had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. In a very dangerous position, a player in Baraja Española FC fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 7th minute. Penalty! The goalkeeper, Eustaquio Javiar, was totally fooled by Merengue FC's Maxi Nuñez, who 9 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. The audience thought a goal was coming when Darwin Núñez got free with Eustaquio Javiar in the 13th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Mateo Llorienzo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Baltasar Artaldo, who was totally free with the ball in the 15th minute. In the 17th minute Baraja Española FC were awarded a corner. Baltasar Artaldo went to the cornerflag to take it. Baltasar Artaldo scored 1-2 in the 28th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Mateo Llorienzo, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Baltasar Artaldo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 32nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 34 minutes of play, Baraja Española FC's Baltasar Artaldo made it 1-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Mateo Llorienzo was left in no man's land by his defense there! 40 minutes into the match, Baraja Española FC's goalkeeper Eustaquio Javiar had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Darwin Núñez. 42 minutes into the match, Sílvio Pires had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Mateo Llorienzo. Merengue FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Sílvio Pires was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-4. Mateo Llorienzo didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Baltasar Artaldo went, in the 45th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-5 was the resulting score. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-5 lead.

The wind increased when Roland Banaszak made the kick off in the second half. Baltasar Artaldo might have been able to make a better finish in the 51st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Mateo Llorienzo. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Baltasar Artaldo ran back to his position shaking his head. Merengue FC's Mateo Llorienzo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Baltasar Artaldo in the 51st minute of play. After 51 played minutes Baraja Española FC got a freekick which was hit by Faustino Tono. 55 minutes into the match, Merengue FC's goal looked a bit too open when Baltasar Artaldo came free, but Mateo Llorienzo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 56th minute, Baltasar Artaldo left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Baraja Española FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-6. Eustaquio Javiar showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Darwin Núñez, who was totally free with the ball in the 64th minute. A well-hit corner resulted in Gonzalo Castello heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. 85 minutes into the match, Baraja Española FC's Jeremias Lopez sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Mateo Llorienzo narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Mateo Llorienzo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jeremias Lopez, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jeremias Lopez might have been able to make a better finish in the 88th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Mateo Llorienzo. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out.
