An unexpectedly hard shot by Matouš Carda in the 16th minute of play forced Cestarolli FC's goalkeeper Reynaldo Cestarolli to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a little luck, Cestarolli FC's Reynaldo Cestarolli got control of the ball when Jan Bykowski tried to sneak it across the goal line. Cestarolli FC's Reynaldo Cestarolli played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Esteve Hodei in the 19th minute of play. Cestarolli FC's Olavo Capixaba quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Hermínio Alvarenga, made in the 33rd minute of the game. After a rather tough play, AFC - Curitiba's Hermínio Alvarenga got a free kick in the 42nd minute. AFC - Curitiba's Duarte Mendes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jefferson de Mendonça in the 45th minute of play. In the 47th minute, Ademir Cestarolli hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The audience was convinced that Esteve Hodei's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Reynaldo Cestarolli was relentless in the 49th minute of the game. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Esteve Hodei was the one to do the kick off. Luizão Saldanha kicked well hit freekick during the 54th minute of the match. In the 59th minute, Abdelbassir Cestarolli left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Cestarolli FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. After 73 played minutes Cestarolli FC got a freekick which was hit by Alvaro Lucila. Reynaldo Cestarolli made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jan Bykowski in the 93rd minute of play. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Cestarolli FC walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
