The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. FC Amsterdam Wanderers's Wesley Rush played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gogo Duardo in the 4th minute of play. In the 8th minute, Alberto Andreola got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 11 played minutes Domselaar got a freekick which was hit by Erland Vikström. After having played for 13 minutes, Feridun Eronat managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FC Amsterdam Wanderers's supporters crossed their fingers, but Feridun Eronat was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 14 minutes into the match, David Love dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Filomeno Kinsen, 1-0. Feridun Eronat in the 19thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Filomeno Kinsen, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. A collision led to Domselaar getting a freekick after 33 minutes play. Xiao Sheng Rong hit a great ball. Wesley Rush took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gogo Duardo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 43 minutes into the match, FC Amsterdam Wanderers's goal looked a bit too open when Gogo Duardo came free, but Wesley Rush reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Filomeno Kinsen showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Feridun Eronat, who was totally free with the ball in the 46th minute. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Feridun Eronat was the one to do the kick off. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ciro Danel during the 51st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 51 played minutes Domselaar got a freekick which was hit by Ciro Danel. 59 minutes into the game, Gogo Duardo recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Wesley Rush. Gogo Duardo showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-1. In the 61st minute, Vaughn Dennison got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Filomeno Kinsen made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Feridun Eronat in the 66th minute of play. 72 minutes into the match, Domselaar's goal looked a bit too open when Adrian Rowling came free, but Filomeno Kinsen reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience was convinced that Alfredo Gonzalez's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Wesley Rush was relentless in the 74th minute of the game. FC Amsterdam Wanderers's Wesley Rush proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 76th minute of the match, managed to save FC Amsterdam Wanderers from getting a goal against them. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Feridun Eronat during the 82nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card.
