Gotham City's Kacper Gamza played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Pearse McWilliam in the 5th minute of play. The supporters of Gotham City booed when St. James Gate F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 8 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hewney Kirby didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 15th minute Pearse McWilliam shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kacper Gamza saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Kacper Gamza showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hewney Kirby, who was totally free with the ball in the 20th minute. In the 24th minute, Hewney Kirby ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Kacper Gamza was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. 32 minutes into the match, Gotham City's goal looked a bit too open when Hewney Kirby came free, but Kacper Gamza reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 35th minute Hewney Kirby shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kacper Gamza saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 35 minutes into the game, Burke Martyn was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. St. James Gate F.C.'s manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Gotham City the free kick. In the 35th match minute, St. James Gate F.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Burke Martyn to maneuver through the defense. Cyryl Lodowy could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 39th minute of the match, but Brigid Rutherford made a huge save. St. James Gate F.C.'s defense didn't have a chance, in the 42nd minute, when Cyryl Lodowy scored to the left of an out of position Brigid Rutherford, making the score, 1-1. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

If Hewney Kirby had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 51st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Kacper Gamza made an important save on a dangerous shot by Bannon Glen Crowe in the 53rd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hewney Kirby in the 56th minute of play forced Gotham City's goalkeeper Kacper Gamza to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Kacper Gamza made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Barhart Costello in the 61st minute of play. St. James Gate F.C. were awarded a corner in the 62th minute after Gotham City's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Tipper Savic took the corner. Brigid Rutherford took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cyryl Lodowy, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Kacper Gamza was a little too slow when Burke Martyn got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 68th minute. The score was now 1-2. St. James Gate F.C.'s Gealan Cooney was substituted for Burke Martyn. In the 74th minute, St. James Gate F.C.'s Hewney Kirby ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Kacper Gamza. Kacper Gamza yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-3. Marzoq Stonebridge's late challenge caught a St. James Gate F.C.'s player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Marzoq Stonebridge helped the player get up and apologised. After 78 played minutes Gotham City got a freekick which was hit by Marzoq Stonebridge. With a little luck, Gotham City's Kacper Gamza got control of the ball when Bannon Glen Crowe tried to sneak it across the goal line. Brigid Rutherford didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Cyryl Lodowy went, in the 83rd minute, to the upper right corner, 2-3 was the resulting score. A collision led to St. James Gate F.C. getting a freekick after 90 minutes play. Rowland McDecland hit a great ball. Gotham City's Izydor Gierlach was substituted for Dominik Noworolnik. After a rather tough play, St. James Gate F.C.'s Rowland McDecland got a free kick in the 91st minute. Stasio Gdowski took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 92nd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Brigid Rutherford. St. James Gate F.C.'s goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. The supporters of Gotham City booed when St. James Gate F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 93 match minutes in a wonderful position. Egan McLaughlin didn't get a good kick on the ball. Kacper Gamza showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hewney Kirby, who was totally free with the ball in the 94th minute. After a rather tough play, Gotham City's Izydor Gierlach got a free kick in the 96th minute. St. James Gate F.C.'s players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
