In the 8thth minute of the game Alfredo Geleberto who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but West Town SC's Billy Jacquemet was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Gimnasia y tiro's Wieslaw Panasewicz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Angel Mena in the 9th minute of play. Billy Jacquemet made a fantastic save in the 11th minute, when Alfredo Geleberto sent off a good shot on target. In the 12th match minute, Gimnasia y tiro was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Narūnas Baltramaitis to maneuver through the defense. With 14 minutes on the clock, Ariel Valiente commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. In the 17th minute West Town SC were awarded a corner.
