Alfredo Geleberto in the 11thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Jesse McJames, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. If Phillip McKeochan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 12th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Wieslaw Panasewicz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Phillip McKeochan in the 27th minute of the match. After 30 minutes Gimnasia y tiro's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Laerte Tande who took care of the corner kick. Jesse McJames didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Alfredo Geleberto went, in the 32nd minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. Jesse McJames made an important save on a dangerous shot by Alfredo Geleberto in the 35th minute. Smiddy Celts's Jesse McJames played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alfredo Geleberto in the 42nd minute of play. Alfredo Geleberto sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Smiddy Celts's Jesse McJames proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 46th minute of the match, managed to save Smiddy Celts from getting a goal against them.

Gimnasia y tiro's Reynaldo Montrelle was substituted for Alfredo Geleberto. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Phillip McKeochan to make the kick off. Mbadiwe Mpenza made in the 59th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Gimnasia y tiro's Bernardino Quintin. A nice corner shot did that Basilio Guillem got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Jesse McJames quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Reynaldo Montrelle fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jesse McJames having to interfere. After 69 played minutes Smiddy Celts got a freekick which was hit by Mbadiwe Mpenza. Smiddy Celts made a substitution. 雷益铮 replaced Paddy Thomson. Smiddy Celts's Graeme McRobie was substituted for Graeme Gordon. Mbadiwe Mpenza kicked well hit freekick during the 75th minute of the match. In the 77th minute Esben Nordborg shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jesse McJames saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a little luck, Gimnasia y tiro's Wieslaw Panasewicz got control of the ball when Graeme McRobie tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 96th minute, Reynaldo Montrelle ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jesse McJames was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-0.
