With a couple of smart ball manuevers Diguinho Souza in the 3rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Dušan Ančic saved Club Atlético de Newell from getting behind. Hílton Dias made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Spike Foley in the 13th minute of play. After having played for 15 minutes, Devon Howson managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Club Atlético de Newell's supporters crossed their fingers, but Devon Howson was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 18 minutes into the match, Spike Foley dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Hílton Dias, 1-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Diguinho Souza in the 23rd minute of play forced Club Atlético de Newell's goalkeeper Dušan Ančic to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Atlético da Colina's Set Master got a good chance for a goal in the 27th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 29 minutes into the match, Club Atlético de Newell's goal looked a bit too open when Diguinho Souza came free, but Dušan Ančic reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 31 minutes into the match, Atlético da Colina's Diguinho Souza sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Dušan Ančic narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Hílton Dias breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Diguinho Souza in the 55th minute of play forced Club Atlético de Newell's goalkeeper Dušan Ančic to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Diguinho Souza in the 55th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Dušan Ančic prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When Atlético da Colina's Diguinho Souza in the 58th minute got a chance for a shot 58th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. The crowd rose to their feet as Atlético da Colina's Diguinho Souza slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Dušan Ančic. That made the score 1-3 after 67 minutes of play. Club Atlético de Newell's Dušan Ančic proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 71st minute of the match, managed to save Club Atlético de Newell from getting a goal against them. 73 minutes into the match, Atlético da Colina's Diguinho Souza sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Dušan Ančic narrowly saved just below the crossbar. With a little luck, Club Atlético de Newell's Dušan Ančic got control of the ball when Diguinho Souza tried to sneak it across the goal line. Diguinho Souza's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Dušan Ančic read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 95th minute of play. Atlético da Colina's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
