The audience was convinced that Deilmison van Basten's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Motta Rello was relentless in the 22nd minute of the game. The supporters of San Michele AFC booed when ATHLETICO PRaiano was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 45 match minutes in a wonderful position. Simão do Vale didn't get a good kick on the ball. Rodriguinho Sousa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alvaro Giusto in the 46th minute of play.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Deilmison van Basten stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Deilmison van Basten might have been able to make a better finish in the 53rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Motta Rello. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Deilmison van Basten ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 53rd minute of the match, Deilmison van Basten tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Motta Rello saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. In the 58th minute, Hami Tuğaltay hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.
