ATHLETICO PRaiano's supporters crossed their fingers, but Deilmison van Basten was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Deilmison van Basten blasted a shot towards the goal in the 9th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Liu Yong Yong having to make a save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Deilmison van Basten in the 9th minute of play forced OROTINENSE's goalkeeper Liu Yong Yong to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Deilmison van Basten in the 11th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Liu Yong Yong saved OROTINENSE from getting behind. ATHLETICO PRaiano's Rodriguinho Sousa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by David Talamanca in the 16th minute of play. Deilmison van Basten blasted a shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Liu Yong Yong having to make a save. If Deilmison van Basten had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 24 minutes into the match, OROTINENSE's goal looked a bit too open when Deilmison van Basten came free, but Liu Yong Yong reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Rodriguinho Sousa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from David Talamanca in the 25th minute of the match. 33 minutes into the game, Parvan Hadzhipetkov threw the ball into play from the sideline. ATHLETICO PRaiano's Vilhelm Skoog quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Deilmison van Basten sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. Liu Yong Yong was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. OROTINENSE's Liu Yong Yong played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Deilmison van Basten in the 40th minute of play. Liu Yong Yong took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Deilmison van Basten, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 46 played minutes ATHLETICO PRaiano got a freekick which was hit by Vilhelm Skoog. In the 48th minute Omar Carvajal shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rodriguinho Sousa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.

When Deilmison van Basten came up free with the goalie in the 52nd minute, the ATHLETICO PRaiano fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Deilmison van Basten couldn't finish the play. After a defensive mix-up in OROTINENSE's zone, Deilmison van Basten stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Liu Yong Yong came out of the goal and Deilmison van Basten tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Liu Yong Yong showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Deilmison van Basten, who was totally free with the ball in the 57th minute. Rodriguinho Sousa made an important save on a dangerous shot by David Talamanca in the 63rd minute. In the 68th minute, Deilmison van Basten ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Liu Yong Yong was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-0. Liu Yong Yong showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Deilmison van Basten in the 75th minute of the match. OROTINENSE made a substitution. OROTINENSE's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Unax Mudarra ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner led ATHLETICO PRaiano's Unax Mudarra to fire away a dangerous shot which Liu Yong Yong despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. 83 minutes into the match, Iordache Opincaru notched a goal, 3-1, to the right of ATHLETICO PRaiano's Rodriguinho Sousa. Rodriguinho Sousa was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. ATHLETICO PRaiano's Deilmison van Basten got a good chance for a goal in the 87th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Liu Yong Yong showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Deilmison van Basten in the 93rd minute of the match. In the 97th minute of the match, David Talamanca tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Rodriguinho Sousa saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. ATHLETICO PRaiano had won after a very even match.
