The corner ended in Sarracino De la Rosa almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Black horses's Valdis Felbergs did a great save. In the 15th minute, Ozan Heybetli ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Valdis Felbergs was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Valdis Felbergs stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ozan Heybetli's shot from short distance in the 26th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cipriano Sauveur in the 31st minute of play forced FC Hammarby Sjöstad's goalkeeper Sixten Tunander to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. George Maradona made in the 43rd minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by FC Hammarby Sjöstad's Leon Ferfecki. The supporters of Black horses booed when FC Hammarby Sjöstad was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 45 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hannes Kempenaerts didn't get a good kick on the ball. Sixten Tunander made a fantastic save in the 46th minute, when Cipriano Sauveur sent off a good shot on target.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Cipriano Sauveur to make the kick off. If Ozan Heybetli had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Ozan Heybetli came free with the goalkeeper in the 55th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Valdis Felbergs could save by the left post. Valdis Felbergs showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ciriaco Terciero in the 63rd minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Black horses's zone, Ozan Heybetli stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Valdis Felbergs came out of the goal and Ozan Heybetli tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 96 minutes into the match, Black horses's goal looked a bit too open when Ozan Heybetli came free, but Valdis Felbergs reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. FC Hammarby Sjöstad had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
