The audience was convinced that Guilherme Basso's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Carlos Lima was relentless in the 8th minute of the game. Carlos Lima showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Guilherme Basso in the 10th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Corteva FC's zone, Guilherme Basso stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Carlos Lima came out of the goal and Guilherme Basso tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The supporters of Plebeyos booed when Corteva FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 13 match minutes in a wonderful position. Erik Godoi didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Corteva FC's zone, Guilherme Basso stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Carlos Lima came out of the goal and Guilherme Basso tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When the match had gone on for 17 minutes, Guilherme Basso put it in 0-1 from a short distance just to the right of Carlos Lima. After having played for 20 minutes, Guilherme Basso managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Plebeyos's supporters crossed their fingers, but Guilherme Basso was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After some careless play in the Corteva FC defense, Guilherme Basso kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Carlos Lima. The Corteva FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Carlos Lima should have stopped the shot. The Plebeyos fans' excitement grew in the 27th match minute when Plebeyos's Guilherme Basso looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-3 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Plebeyos's Guilherme Basso got a good chance for a goal in the 30th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Carlos Lima made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Guilherme Basso in the 36th minute of play. After some careless play in the Corteva FC defense, Guilherme Basso kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Carlos Lima. The Corteva FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Carlos Lima should have stopped the shot. In the 41st minute the ball was on its way in behind Corteva FC's goalkeeper Carlos Lima, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 42nd minute, Guilherme Basso left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Plebeyos fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-6. 46 minutes into the match, Guilherme Basso notched a goal, 0-7, to the right of Corteva FC's Carlos Lima. Carlos Lima was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Disappointed in the 0-7 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Luizinho Rezende stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Guilherme Basso who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 57thth minute tested the skills of Carlos Lima when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Kåre Uter sent away a hard shot on goal in the 58th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The crowd rose to their feet as Plebeyos's Guilherme Basso slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Carlos Lima. That made the score 0-8 after 60 minutes of play. Nilton Matos's late challenge caught a Plebeyos's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Nilton Matos helped the player get up and apologised. In the 66th match minute, Corteva FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nilton Matos to maneuver through the defense. 67 minutes into the match, Guilherme Basso had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Carlos Lima. Corteva FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Guilherme Basso was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-9. Carlos Lima made an important save on a dangerous shot by Guilherme Basso in the 74th minute. With a little luck, Corteva FC's Carlos Lima got control of the ball when Guilherme Basso tried to sneak it across the goal line. Plebeyos made a substitution. Gilberto Gizon replaced Enzo Kusko. Carlos Lima didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Guilherme Basso went, in the 90th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-10 was the resulting score. Kåre Uter fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Carlos Lima having to interfere. In the 94th minute, Luís Eduardo Dracena hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Carlos Lima was out of position in the 96 minute of play, and Guilherme Basso capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Guilherme Basso really showed his touch with that goal: 0-11.
