An unexpectedly hard shot by Louis Naudi in the 12th minute of play forced Galo do Japi's goalkeeper Ronaldo Giovanelli to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Attard Gunners were awarded a corner in the 14th minute after Galo do Japi's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Godwin Sapiano took the corner. Attard Gunners's Godwin Sapiano was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Ronaldo Giovanelli in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sebastian Ekelund in the 15th minute of play forced Galo do Japi's goalkeeper Ronaldo Giovanelli to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 19th minute, Louis Naudi fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Sebastian Ekelund's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ronaldo Giovanelli read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 22nd minute of play. The crowd rose to their feet as Sebastian Ekelund kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Ronaldo Giovanelli. That made the score 2-0 in the 22 minute of play. Glenn Bailey made in the 25th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Sebastian Ekelund. In the 29th minute the ball was on its way in behind Attard Gunners's goalkeeper Jay Jowsey, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 35th match minute, Galo do Japi was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cauan Catarinense to maneuver through the defense. Ronaldo Giovanelli made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alan Said in the 37th minute of play. 40 minutes into the game, Attard Gunners's Sebastian Ekelund nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Ronaldo Giovanelli made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-0. In the 44th minute, Neville Ciscaldi hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 45th minute of the match Cafu Ringaa shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Jay Jowsey showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Alan Said was the one to do the kick off. Galo do Japi's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Cafu Ringaa in the 56th minute. When Carlos Santana came up free with the goalie in the 64th minute, the Galo do Japi fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Carlos Santana couldn't finish the play. Ronaldo Giovanelli took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sebastian Ekelund, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Attard Gunners made a substitution. Adrian Savona replaced Alan Said. The throw-in from Belmiro Caca-Rato in the 73rd minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Attard Gunners's Nathan Baldacchino. Ronaldo Giovanelli showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sebastian Ekelund in the 75th minute of the match. In the 76th minute Adrian Savona shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ronaldo Giovanelli saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jay Jowsey made an important save on a dangerous shot by Carlos Santana in the 78th minute. If Carlos Santana had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 80th minute Carlos Santana shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jay Jowsey saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Attard Gunners made a substitution. Michael Testaferrata Olivier replaced Sebastian Ekelund. Carlos Santana received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 88th minute. Jay Jowsey tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Eriberto de Souza kicked well hit freekick during the 90th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 92nd minute, Michael Testaferrata Olivier managed to get in a good position for a shot. Attard Gunners's supporters rose to their feet, but Michael Testaferrata Olivier was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ronaldo Giovanelli breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Carlos Santana sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Jay Jowsey was a little too slow when Carlos Santana got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 95th minute. The score was now 3-2. Attard Gunners's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
