In the 7th minute the ball was on its way in behind Frontera AFC's goalkeeper Agustín Rossi, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Silvestre Cisco received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 8th minute. Ismael Furman tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Agustín Rossi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ronaldo Cristi, who was totally free with the ball in the 12th minute. In the 17th minute, Ronaldo Cristi made a precise shot to the right of Agustín Rossi. Frontera AFC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. Domingos Evangelista's late challenge caught a Equipo's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Domingos Evangelista helped the player get up and apologised. Agustín Rossi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ronaldo Cristi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Equipo were awarded a corner in the 26th minute after Frontera AFC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Raul Vigil took the corner. Tobias Arano hit a great freekick 27 minutes into the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Silvestre Cisco in the 28th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ismael Furman saved Equipo from getting behind. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Silvestre Cisco in the 28th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ismael Furman prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After having played for 31 minutes, Ronaldo Cristi managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Equipo's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ronaldo Cristi was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Martin Lain hit a great freekick 32 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ronaldo Cristi in the 39th minute of play forced Frontera AFC's goalkeeper Agustín Rossi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Frontera AFC's Domingos Evangelista got a free kick in the 40th minute. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 42nd minute of the game. One of Frontera AFC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Equipo:s goal. The Equipo fans' excitement grew in the 44th match minute when Equipo's Raul Vigil looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

The wind increased when Silvestre Cisco made the kick off in the second half. In the 65th minute Ronaldo Cristi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Agustín Rossi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Silvestre Cisco in the 73rd minute of play forced Equipo's goalkeeper Ismael Furman to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 74th minute, Ronaldo Cristi hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 75th match minute, Equipo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ronaldo Cristi to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of Equipo booed when Frontera AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 76 match minutes in a wonderful position. Domingos Evangelista didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 80th minute of the match Equipo got a corner. Frontera AFC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Raul Vigil ran over to the corner to take the kick. Equipo's Raul Vigil was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Agustín Rossi in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. After a rather tough play, Frontera AFC's Martin Lain got a free kick in the 81st minute. 87 minutes into the match, Equipo's Ronaldo Cristi sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Agustín Rossi narrowly saved just below the crossbar. When the match was over Equipo could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Frontera AFC throughout the match.
