In the 10th minute Göktuğ Sulasi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mané Viana saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Mané Viana showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rolando Amorebieta, who was totally free with the ball in the 11th minute. Boca Juniors's Jacinto Cuadrado proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 18th minute of the match, managed to save Boca Juniors from getting a goal against them. In the 20thth minute of the game Göktuğ Sulasi who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Cleytec de Nilópolis RJ's Mané Viana was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Jacinto Cuadrado showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mattias Wennerberg in the 22nd minute of the match. The audience was convinced that Carlinhos de Brito's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jacinto Cuadrado was relentless in the 26th minute of the game. Rainerio Obis's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Mané Viana read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 27th minute of play. With an all-out effort, Cleytec de Nilópolis RJ's Jacinto Cuadrado threw himself towards the right post 29 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Dário Carneiro, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. 30 minutes into the match, Boca Juniors's goal looked a bit too open when Dário Carneiro came free, but Jacinto Cuadrado reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 31st minute Göktuğ Sulasi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mané Viana saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Mané Viana made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rolando Amorebieta in the 42nd minute of play. Jacinto Cuadrado showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mattias Wennerberg in the 45th minute of the match. Cleytec de Nilópolis RJ's Mané Viana played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rainerio Obis in the 47th minute of play. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Göktuğ Sulasi was the one to do the kick off. Vitório da Rocha kicked well hit freekick during the 50th minute of the match. Jacinto Cuadrado took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Carlinhos de Brito, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 59 minutes into the game, one of Cleytec de Nilópolis RJ:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Mané Viana went to the wrong direction when Rolando Amorebieta was taking care of the penalty kick which however missed the goal. If Rolando Amorebieta had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience thought a goal was coming when Gabriel Martinelli got free with Mané Viana in the 81st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 92nd minute Jano Donato shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jacinto Cuadrado saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jano Donato in the 93rd minute of play forced Boca Juniors's goalkeeper Jacinto Cuadrado to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 96 minutes into the match, Boca Juniors's goal looked a bit too open when Jano Donato came free, but Jacinto Cuadrado reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 97 minutes into the game, Jano Donato cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-1. Jacinto Cuadrado was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. When the referee ended the match the Cleytec de Nilópolis RJ players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
