The audience was convinced that Lucio Claus's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Kong Gang Zhan was relentless in the 18th minute of the game. Cremonese FC's Kong Gang Zhan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jetmir Ruvina in the 36th minute of play. After some careless play in the Cremonese FC defense, Ekrem Tapa kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Kong Gang Zhan. The Cremonese FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Kong Gang Zhan should have stopped the shot. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

In the 64th minute of the match Eagle FC got a corner. Cremonese FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Sotiraq Shelgu ran over to the corner to take the kick. A well-hit corner resulted in Arenc Tefa heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. 68 minutes into the match, Cremonese FC's goal looked a bit too open when Lucio Claus came free, but Kong Gang Zhan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 70th match minute, Cremonese FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sidney Donato to maneuver through the defense. Cremonese FC made a substitution. The Eagle FC supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Eagle FC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
