Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Eliseo Vidales in the 34th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ni Tian Peng prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 37 minutes into the match, Guangzhou Dark Horse F.C's goal looked a bit too open when Duarte Castellon came free, but Romeo Gaxan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A nice corner shot did that Thanos Kalikis got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Romeo Gaxan quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Duarte Castellon hit a great freekick 41 minutes into the match. The Guangzhou Dark Horse F.C players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. El Pinar were winning 0-1.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Nikos Valassiou made a kick off. A collision led to Guangzhou Dark Horse F.C getting a freekick after 58 minutes play.
