The supporters of Florida Gulf Coast booed when Tractorul Satulung -MM- was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 6 match minutes in a wonderful position. Afonsinho Barros didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Lukáš Katačić came up free with the goalie in the 12th minute, the Florida Gulf Coast fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Lukáš Katačić couldn't finish the play. Tractorul Satulung -MM-:s Panait Hațegan showed great skill when he stopped John James:s penalty. Florida Gulf Coast were awarded a corner in the 19th minute after Tractorul Satulung -MM-'s defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. John James took the corner. The corner ended in Vladislav Febov almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Tractorul Satulung -MM-'s Panait Hațegan did a great save. In the 21st minute Lukáš Katačić shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Panait Hațegan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 24 minutes into the match, Florida Gulf Coast's goal looked a bit too open when Mădălin Cangeopol came free, but Luis Nardo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Tractorul Satulung -MM-'s Panait Hațegan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Steve Rogers in the 27th minute of play. Tractorul Satulung -MM-'s Mădălin Cangeopol got a good chance for a goal in the 28th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Panait Hațegan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Steve Rogers, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 31 minutes of play, Florida Gulf Coast's Lukáš Katačić made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Panait Hațegan was left in no man's land by his defense there! Lukáš Katačić sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 37 minutes into the match, Lukáš Katačić had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Panait Hațegan. Tractorul Satulung -MM-'s manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Lukáš Katačić was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. After a rather tough play, Tractorul Satulung -MM-'s Samuel Hall got a free kick in the 41st minute. A sloppy throw-in by Marlon Brando in the 47th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Florida Gulf Coast's Sixto Bitxintxo. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Mădălin Cangeopol stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After 55 played minutes Tractorul Satulung -MM- got a freekick which was hit by Marlon Brando. 57 minutes into the match, Florida Gulf Coast's goal looked a bit too open when Mădălin Cangeopol came free, but Luis Nardo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 59th minute of the match Tractorul Satulung -MM- got a corner. Florida Gulf Coast's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Ursus Martin ran over to the corner to take the kick. Luis Nardo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mădălin Cangeopol in the 61st minute of play. Lukáš Katačić received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 65th minute. Panait Hațegan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Lukáš Katačić received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Panait Hațegan came out and tried to block the shot, but Lukáš Katačić slotted it home off the left post making it 0-3 in the 73rd minute. Tractorul Satulung -MM-'s Adrian Mutu was substituted for Mădălin Cangeopol. After a rather tough play, Tractorul Satulung -MM-'s Marlon Brando got a free kick in the 81st minute. Lukáš Katačić struck a weak shot in the 86th minute. Panait Hațegan didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Florida Gulf Coast. Florida Gulf Coast made a substitution. Nestor Inko replaced Lukáš Katačić. The throw-in from Marlon Brando in the 89th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Florida Gulf Coast's Eleuterio Fiz. Adrian Mutu's late challenge caught a Florida Gulf Coast's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Adrian Mutu helped the player get up and apologised. Florida Gulf Coast made a substitution. Leonardo Dominix replaced Eleuterio Fiz. A collision led to Tractorul Satulung -MM- getting a freekick after 91 minutes play. Adrian Mutu hit a great ball.
