When Jan Jönsson fell near the penalty area in the 4th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Överås BK's protests and gave Jan Jönsson a yellow card for diving instead. Jan Jönsson hit a great freekick 5 minutes into the match. In the 5th minute, Kemalettin Taykut ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jan Karlberg was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. 10 minutes into the match, Yeşilköyspor's Kemalettin Taykut sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Jan Karlberg narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 12th minute Kemalettin Taykut shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jan Karlberg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Yeşilköyspor were awarded a corner in the 13th minute after Överås BK's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Atalan Temizel took the corner. If Kemalettin Taykut had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Överås BK's Jan Karlberg played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kemalettin Taykut in the 16th minute of play. With a little luck, Yeşilköyspor's Acun Tandan got control of the ball when Douglas Fransson tried to sneak it across the goal line. Acun Tandan made a fantastic save in the 23rd minute, when Tobias Kellberg sent off a good shot on target. In the 24th minute Tobias Kellberg shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Acun Tandan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 24 minutes into the game, Necati Temizalp was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Yeşilköyspor's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Överås BK the free kick. In the 26th match minute, Överås BK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jan Jönsson to maneuver through the defense. Jan Karlberg took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mark Sæbø, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 29thth minute of the game Tobias Kellberg who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Yeşilköyspor's Acun Tandan was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 31 minutes into the match, Överås BK's goal looked a bit too open when Kemalettin Taykut came free, but Jan Karlberg reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 33rd minute, Eric Hjälm hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Överås BK's Jan Karlberg played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mark Sæbø in the 34th minute of play. After some careless play in the Överås BK defense, Mark Sæbø kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jan Karlberg. The Överås BK fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jan Karlberg should have stopped the shot. Jan Karlberg showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kemalettin Taykut, who was totally free with the ball in the 38th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Kemalettin Taykut in the 42nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jan Karlberg saved Överås BK from getting behind. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Mark Sæbø was the one to do the kick off. During the 57th minute of the match Jan Jönsson completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Jan Jönsson a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. After a rather tough play, Överås BK's Jan Jönsson got a free kick in the 57th minute. In the 60th minute Kemalettin Taykut shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jan Karlberg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 61 minutes Överås BK's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Atalan Temizel who took care of the corner kick. Kemalettin Taykut was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. In the 64th minute, Kemalettin Taykut fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Jan Karlberg, passed just outside the right post. Mark Sæbø sent away a hard shot on goal in the 64th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jan Karlberg made an important save on a dangerous shot by Mark Sæbø in the 68th minute. Acun Tandan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tobias Kellberg in the 70th minute of the match. Mark Sæbø could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 75th minute of the match, but Jan Karlberg made a huge save. Yeşilköyspor's Mark Sæbø came free and shot a quick shot against goal 75 minutes in the game, fortunately Jan Karlberg had problems saving as it came toward the left post. Kemalettin Taykut recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 75th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Mark Sæbø who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 77thth minute tested the skills of Jan Karlberg when he managed to save the team from getting behind. The crowd rose to their feet as Yeşilköyspor's Kemalettin Taykut slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Jan Karlberg. That made the score 0-3 after 78 minutes of play. In the 81st minute of the match, Mark Sæbø got a very nice opportunity to score, but Jan Karlberg was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Yeşilköyspor were awarded a corner in the 83th minute after Överås BK's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Atalan Temizel took the corner.
