A nice corner shot did that Manoel Fraile got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Cristoforo Brillante quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Alex Méret showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alvaro Sforza in the 11th minute of the match. In the 13th match minute, AC Roma was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alvaro Sforza to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Manoel Fraile in the 18th minute of play forced AC Roma's goalkeeper Cristoforo Brillante to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The crowd rose to their feet as Alvaro Sforza kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Alex Méret. That made the score 1-0 in the 20 minute of play. The supporters of Chancy Olympique booed when AC Roma was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 22 match minutes in a wonderful position. Horia Nasta didn't get a good kick on the ball. With 28 minutes on the clock, Eugênio Alagoano commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. After 27 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Chancy Olympique! In the 30th minute, Marcel van der Velden hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 32nd minute AC Roma were awarded a corner. Armin Ascenzi went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner ended in Armin Ascenzi almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Chancy Olympique's Alex Méret did a great save. Alex Méret showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fatbardh Malko, who was totally free with the ball in the 35th minute. After 37 minutes Chancy Olympique's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Armin Ascenzi who took care of the corner kick. 37 minutes into the game, one of Chancy Olympique:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Alex Méret had in the 38thth minute some difficulties stopping Alvaro Sforza's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. 38 minutes into the match, Alvaro Sforza had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Alex Méret. Chancy Olympique's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Alvaro Sforza was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. In the 41st match minute, AC Roma was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Javier Della Francesca to maneuver through the defense. Horia Nasta hit a great freekick 43 minutes into the match. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

Fatbardh Malko kicked well hit freekick during the 51st minute of the match. If Javier Della Francesca had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 56th minute Alvaro Sforza shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alex Méret saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 64th minute, Alvaro Sforza made a precise shot to the right of Alex Méret. Chancy Olympique's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-0.
