Taribo West ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 9th minute Reinaldo Custódio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Zorko Quack saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Albeiro Usuriaga's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jânio Paraíba read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 11th minute of play. The corner led to Natus Vincere F.C.'s Fulgencio Matia getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. After 14 minutes, Roger Medeiros mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the FC VERDE-AMARELO PORCO and the Natus Vincere F.C. players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 14th match minute, FC VERDE-AMARELO PORCO was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Roger Medeiros to maneuver through the defense. Zorko Quack showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Amadeu Vergílio, who was totally free with the ball in the 18th minute. In the 20th minute, Andrézinho Arce hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Natus Vincere F.C.'s Albeiro Usuriaga got a good chance for a goal in the 22nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Zorko Quack made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mairo Tomat in the 24th minute of play. Zorko Quack took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Reinaldo Custódio, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jânio Paraíba made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Albeiro Usuriaga in the 28th minute of play. A collision led to Natus Vincere F.C. getting a freekick after 30 minutes play. Fulgencio Matia hit a great ball. 37 minutes into the match, Natus Vincere F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Amadeu Vergílio came free, but Zorko Quack reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Zorko Quack showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Okan Sungurtekin in the 39th minute of the match. After 44 played minutes FC VERDE-AMARELO PORCO got a freekick which was hit by Alfredão Monteiro. After some careless play in the Natus Vincere F.C. defense, Amadeu Vergílio kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Zorko Quack. The Natus Vincere F.C. fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Zorko Quack should have stopped the shot. After the first half FC VERDE-AMARELO PORCO were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Albeiro Usuriaga to make the kick off. 54 minutes into the match, Natus Vincere F.C.'s goalkeeper Zorko Quack had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Okan Sungurtekin. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Albeiro Usuriaga in the 62nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jânio Paraíba prevented the ball from getting in the gole. FC VERDE-AMARELO PORCO's Jânio Paraíba played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Orvar Carlsson in the 65th minute of play. Jânio Paraíba made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Albeiro Usuriaga in the 68th minute of play. In the 71st minute, Albeiro Usuriaga got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Natus Vincere F.C. made a substitution. Natus Vincere F.C.'s supporters crossed their fingers, but Taribo West was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Amadeu Vergílio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 86th minute Albeiro Usuriaga shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jânio Paraíba saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing FC VERDE-AMARELO PORCO would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
