The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Osman Yolaç during the 4th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Springplank FC's Osman Yolaç got a free kick in the 4th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Taribo West in the 6th managed to get into a good position. In the 6thth minute of the game Taribo West who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Springplank FC's Otto Zuidam was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Otto Zuidam showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Taribo West, who was totally free with the ball in the 7th minute. Otto Zuidam came out of the goal in the 7th minute to try and stop a shot by Natus Vincere F.C.'s Taribo West. But to his dismay, Taribo West quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Otto Zuidam showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Taribo West in the 11th minute of the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Taribo West in the 12th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Otto Zuidam prevented the ball from getting in the gole. A collision led to Natus Vincere F.C. getting a freekick after 15 minutes play. Domingo Oihenarte hit a great ball. Zorko Quack was a little too slow when Marcus Tuhuteru got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 17th minute. The score was now 1-1. Otto Zuidam took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Albeiro Usuriaga, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 26thth minute of the game Domingo Oihenarte who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Springplank FC's Otto Zuidam was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 30th minute of the match Kjetil-André Digernes shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Otto Zuidam showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Pedro Domingues in the 32nd minute of play forced Springplank FC's goalkeeper Otto Zuidam to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 33 minutes into the game, Natus Vincere F.C.'s Albeiro Usuriaga nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Otto Zuidam made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-2. Otto Zuidam made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Albeiro Usuriaga in the 36th minute of play. Otto Zuidam came out of the goal in the 37th minute to try and stop a shot by Natus Vincere F.C.'s Taribo West. But to his dismay, Taribo West quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-3. Otto Zuidam showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Albeiro Usuriaga, who was totally free with the ball in the 41st minute. Taribo West scored 1-4 in the 45th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Otto Zuidam, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-4.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Taribo West made a kick off. Taribo West in the 52ndth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Otto Zuidam, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Taribo West in the 55th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Otto Zuidam saved Springplank FC from getting behind. The supporters of Natus Vincere F.C. booed when Springplank FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 78 match minutes in a wonderful position. Freek Reitsema didn't get a good kick on the ball. Albeiro Usuriaga sent away a hard shot on goal in the 79th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Albeiro Usuriaga might have been able to make a better finish in the 82nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Otto Zuidam. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Albeiro Usuriaga ran back to his position shaking his head. An unexpectedly hard shot by Albeiro Usuriaga in the 82nd minute of play forced Springplank FC's goalkeeper Otto Zuidam to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Natus Vincere F.C.'s supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
