In the 11th minute of the match, André-Pierre Gignac tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Saturnino Txartiko saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. André-Pierre Gignac kicked a quick shot right in front of the goal in the 11thth minute. Though ot was a great shot Academia Club's keeper Saturnino Txartiko was sill able to block leaving the score board unchanged. Saturnino Txartiko made a fantastic save in the 13th minute, when Américo Oberto sent off a good shot on target. After a rather tough play, Academia Club's Luo Wei Bang got a free kick in the 14th minute. Américo Oberto could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 15th minute of the match, but Saturnino Txartiko made a huge save. Yuan Jian hit a great freekick 18 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by André-Pierre Gignac in the 19th minute of play forced Academia Club's goalkeeper Saturnino Txartiko to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 22nd minute Yuan Jian shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Carlos Eduardo Ramos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Academia Club's Saturnino Txartiko played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by André-Pierre Gignac in the 24th minute of play. Walter Bock could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 29th minute of the match, but Saturnino Txartiko made a huge save. Saturnino Txartiko showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ziya Di Maria, who was totally free with the ball in the 43rd minute. After 44 played minutes Academia Club got a freekick which was hit by Cahit Eker. After some careless play in the Academia Club defense, Américo Oberto kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Saturnino Txartiko. The Academia Club fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Saturnino Txartiko should have stopped the shot. Buenaventura FC's Carlos Eduardo Ramos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Julio-César Dely Valdés in the 48th minute of play. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 4-0 at half-time.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Cahit Eker stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After some fancy dribbling in the 53rd minute, Yuan Jian managed to get in a good position for a shot. Academia Club's supporters rose to their feet, but Yuan Jian was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. After a defensive mix-up in Buenaventura FC's zone, Carmelo Osmundo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. In the 60th match minute, Academia Club was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Julio-César Dely Valdés to maneuver through the defense. In the 62nd minute Ziya Di Maria shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Saturnino Txartiko saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Saturnino Txartiko showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ziya Di Maria in the 64th minute of the match. After 65 played minutes Academia Club got a freekick which was hit by Benicio Marques. In the 68th minute Christian Castillo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Saturnino Txartiko saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 79thth minute of the game Christian Castillo who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Academia Club's Saturnino Txartiko was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The Buenaventura FC fans' excitement grew in the 79th match minute when Buenaventura FC's Christian Castillo looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 7-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. In the 82nd minute Yuan Jian shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Carlos Eduardo Ramos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Academia Club's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. In the 94th minute, Cahit Eker hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 96 minutes into the game, Ensar Irgatbaşı was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Buenaventura FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Academia Club the free kick. After 96 played minutes Buenaventura FC got a freekick which was hit by Ensar Irgatbaşı. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Buenaventura FC fans cheered their team off the field, for while Academia Club had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
