After a rather tough play, FC Pepsi's Alf Klint got a free kick in the 8th minute. With an all-out effort, FC Pepsi's Placido Gitano threw himself towards the right post 13 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Bruno Lucente, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. The supporters of FC Pepsi booed when Club Atletico Juanita was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 15 match minutes in a wonderful position. With his leg Paul Holmstedt managed to avoid a goal in the 53rdth minute, when Club Atletico Juanita's Orlando Macerio fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Paul Holmstedt showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Virgilio Jerold, who was totally free with the ball in the 58th minute.
