The corner ended in Christian Minaud almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Salome's John Becker did a great save. Christian Minaud had several of the Salome's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 14 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 2-0 score and a disappointed John Becker as he didn't even see the shot coming. After some careless play in the Salome defense, Christian Minaud kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of John Becker. The Salome fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that John Becker should have stopped the shot. With a little luck, Salome's John Becker got control of the ball when Christian Minaud tried to sneak it across the goal line. John Becker made a fantastic save in the 28th minute, when Gilles Baur sent off a good shot on target. In the 30th minute of the match, Fabien Cantin tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but John Becker saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. The Elegance Dijon fans' excitement grew in the 34th match minute when Elegance Dijon's Fabien Cantin looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 5-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. John Becker took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fabien Cantin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Fabien Cantin scored 6-0 in the 36th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of John Becker, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. John Becker made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Thierry Agnel in the 42nd minute of play. In the 43rd minute Fabien Cantin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but John Becker saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 6-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Fabien Cantin made a kick off. The audience was convinced that Christian Minaud's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but John Becker was relentless in the 51st minute of the game. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gilles Baur in the 62nd minute of play forced Salome's goalkeeper John Becker to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 63rd minute, Christian Minaud left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Elegance Dijon fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 8-0. In the 67th minute, Stéphane Gaudy made a precise shot to the right of John Becker. Salome's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 9-0. In the 71st minute, Fabien Cantin ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. John Becker was frozen by the shot and now it was 10-0. Abdel Macaigne helped the player get up and apologised. In the 90th match minute, Salome was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Abdel Macaigne to maneuver through the defense. After some fancy dribbling in the 91st minute, Christian Minaud managed to get in a good position for a shot. Elegance Dijon's supporters rose to their feet, but Christian Minaud was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. John Becker breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 93 minutes into the game, Elegance Dijon's Stéphane Gaudy nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. John Becker made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 13-0. There was no doubt that Elegance Dijon were the better team. Elegance Dijon's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
