John Becker made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Genílson França in the 4th minute of play. In the 5th minute Hélder Custódio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but John Becker saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Diamantino Magalhães made a fantastic save in the 6th minute, when Germain Clisson sent off a good shot on target. 17 minutes into the match, Academia Militar MZ's goal looked a bit too open when Hugo Patard came free, but Diamantino Magalhães reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. John Becker took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bernd Goldsche, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hélder Custódio in the 19th minute of play forced Salome's goalkeeper John Becker to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Genílson França during the 22nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Genílson França kicked well hit freekick during the 22nd minute of the match. 25 minutes into the game, Hélder Custódio cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. John Becker was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 31 minutes into the match, Academia Militar MZ's goalkeeper Diamantino Magalhães had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Germain Clisson. John Becker made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bernd Goldsche in the 32nd minute of play. John Becker showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bernd Goldsche, who was totally free with the ball in the 34th minute. Genílson França fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without John Becker having to interfere. Diamantino Magalhães was out of position in the 43 minute of play, and Hugo Patard capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Hugo Patard really showed his touch with that goal: 1-2. The Salome players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Academia Militar MZ were winning 1-2.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Bernd Goldsche to make the kick off. Diamantino Magalhães made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hugo Patard in the 55th minute of play. In the 57th minute, Salome's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Hélder Custódio fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Hélder Custódio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 58th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 59 minutes into the match, Hélder Custódio had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of John Becker. Salome's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Hélder Custódio was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-3. Hugo Patard's late challenge caught a Academia Militar MZ's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Hugo Patard helped the player get up and apologised. Hugo Patard hit a great freekick 63 minutes into the match. 65 minutes into the game, Bernd Goldsche lined in a short shot 1-4 behind a frustrated John Becker. Bernd Goldsche sent away a hard shot on goal in the 67th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Genílson França had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Salome's John Becker played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hélder Custódio in the 74th minute of play. John Becker made a fantastic save in the 76th minute, when Genílson França sent off a good shot on target. When Germain Clisson fell near the penalty area in the 77th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Salome's protests and gave Germain Clisson a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Salome getting a freekick after 77 minutes play. Germain Clisson hit a great ball. The crowd rose to their feet as Academia Militar MZ's Genílson França slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of John Becker. That made the score 1-5 after 80 minutes of play. When Genílson França came up free with the goalie in the 86th minute, the Academia Militar MZ fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Genílson França couldn't finish the play. Diamantino Magalhães showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jean-Marc Sirieix in the 88th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jean-Marc Sirieix in the 89th minute of play forced Academia Militar MZ's goalkeeper Diamantino Magalhães to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Germain Clisson hit a great freekick 92 minutes into the match. John Becker showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bernd Goldsche, who was totally free with the ball in the 93rd minute. Germain Clisson recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 95th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal.
