In the 10thth minute of the game Waldemar Gierlach who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but CRS Pogoń Barlinek's Evert Telin was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When the match had gone on for 10 minutes, Waldemar Gierlach put it in 0-2 from a short distance just to the right of Evert Telin. 13 minutes into the match, CRS Pogoń Barlinek's goal looked a bit too open when Waldemar Gierlach came free, but Evert Telin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Waldemar Gierlach in the 43rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Evert Telin saved CRS Pogoń Barlinek from getting behind. When the match had gone on for 43 minutes, Waldemar Gierlach put it in 1-5 from a short distance just to the right of Evert Telin. After the first half Champions Iasi were leading 1-5. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Waldemar Gierlach was the one to do the kick off. The referee gave Cyprian Kojder a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. In the 83rd minute, Walery Rode hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Stefan Pieters, 84 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. CRS Pogoń Barlinek's Evert Telin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Waldemar Gierlach in the 87th minute of play. After 90 played minutes Champions Iasi got a freekick which was hit by Fabian Zăreanu. Champions Iasi's Rouven Nussli played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Leonard Haskiewicz in the 92nd minute of play. If Fabian Zăreanu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Champions Iasi had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
