In the 8th minute of the match Edson Futebol Clube got a corner. K.F.MALIQI's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Tao Xing Yong ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner ended in Tao Xing Yong almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but K.F.MALIQI's Lew Yashin did a great save. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Lucas Hulk in the 10th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Lew Yashin prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 11 minutes had been played when some careless play by K.F.MALIQI's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Tao Xing Yong was slow to take the kick. During this time Edson Futebol Clube's players had a chance to rest. 16 minutes into the match, K.F.MALIQI's goal looked a bit too open when Heleno de Freitas came free, but Lew Yashin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Lew Yashin stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Heleno de Freitas's shot from short distance in the 18th minute. If Hassan Diop had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Qemal Jahaj kicked well hit freekick during the 20th minute of the match. Hassan Diop's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Paul Christini firmly grabbed it by the left post. In the 26th minute Heleno de Freitas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lew Yashin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 29 minutes into the match, K.F.MALIQI's goal looked a bit too open when Panos Karkantos came free, but Lew Yashin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Lew Yashin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ernesto Fontes in the 33rd minute of play. In the 35thth minute of the game Heleno de Freitas who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but K.F.MALIQI's Lew Yashin was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Tao Xing Yong took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 37th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Lew Yashin. K.F.MALIQI's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. In the 39th minute, Panos Karkantos made a precise shot to the right of Lew Yashin. K.F.MALIQI's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. The K.F.MALIQI players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Edson Futebol Clube were winning 0-2.

The wind increased when Heleno de Freitas made the kick off in the second half. Paul Christini showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Caradoc Enriquez, who was totally free with the ball in the 53rd minute. In the 54th minute of the match K.F.MALIQI got a corner. Edson Futebol Clube's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Caradoc Enriquez hit a great freekick 63 minutes into the match. 64 minutes into the match, K.F.MALIQI's goal looked a bit too open when Ernesto Fontes came free, but Lew Yashin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 77 minutes into the match, K.F.MALIQI's goalkeeper Lew Yashin had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ernesto Fontes. Paul Christini showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hassan Diop in the 89th minute of the match. In the 90th match minute, Edson Futebol Clube was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Roger Milla to maneuver through the defense. Caradoc Enriquez recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 91st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Paul Christini made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nertil Ktona in the 96th minute of play.
