After some fancy dribbling in the 14th minute, Elmo Jaanovits managed to get in a good position for a shot. Academia FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Elmo Jaanovits was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Paul Christini breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Walery Balkiewicz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tuncay Şanlı, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 19 minutes into the match, Academia FC's goal looked a bit too open when Panos Karkantos came free, but Walery Balkiewicz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 22 minutes Academia FC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Tao Xing Yong who took care of the corner kick. Ernesto Fontes was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. 24 minutes into the match, Edson Futebol Clube's goalkeeper Paul Christini had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Elmo Jaanovits. After 25 minutes Edson Futebol Clube's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was 江崇默 who took care of the corner kick. 29 minutes into the match, Elmo Jaanovits notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of Edson Futebol Clube's Paul Christini. Paul Christini was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. A collision led to Edson Futebol Clube getting a freekick after 46 minutes play. Tao Xing Yong hit a great ball. Paul Christini was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Elmo Jaanovits showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-0 in the 48 minute of play. Academia FC made a substitution. Giovani Lo Celso replaced Asko Kuul.

Giovani Lo Celso's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Paul Christini read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 58th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tancredo Hondaro in the 60th minute of play forced Edson Futebol Clube's goalkeeper Paul Christini to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Edson Futebol Clube's Ernesto Fontes got a free kick in the 60th minute. Paul Christini showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tancredo Hondaro, who was totally free with the ball in the 61st minute. Academia FC's Walery Balkiewicz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Heleno de Freitas in the 65th minute of play. Walery Balkiewicz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Heleno de Freitas in the 70th minute of the match. In the 75th minute Heleno de Freitas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Walery Balkiewicz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Walery Balkiewicz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Panos Karkantos in the 80th minute of the match. Edson Futebol Clube's Roger Milla was substituted for Tuncay Şanlı. An unexpected shot in the 91st minute by Panos Karkantos got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. The referee felt a red card was in order, 100 minutes into the game, when 刘霆鹏 put in a rough tackle. After 99 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Academia FC! Tao Xing Yong took the ball and in the 102 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Walery Balkiewicz. Walery Balkiewicz dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-1. The Academia FC support was delighted with a win in a match that could easily have ended differently.
