Thanks to some nice moves Laffitte Sanes could shoot a difficult shot in the 17th minute, which Khodadad Khan however easily saved by the left post. In the 22nd minute the ball was on its way in behind AC Guadalajara's goalkeeper Lastur Murcia, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After 23 minutes, Laffitte Sanes made it 2-0 with a short kick to the right side. Terra Scaniae's Khodadad Khan tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Khodadad Khan prevented the ball from getting in the gole. An unexpectedly hard shot by Laffitte Sanes in the 44th minute of play forced Terra Scaniae's goalkeeper Khodadad Khan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in AC Guadalajara's zone, Kent Gunnarsson stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Lastur Murcia came out of the goal and Kent Gunnarsson tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Laffitte Sanes came up free with the goalie in the 47th minute, the AC Guadalajara fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Laffitte Sanes couldn't finish the play. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Kent Gunnarsson to make the kick off.
