But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Martin Jon couldn't finish the play. 18 minutes into the match, Vasco Olarticoechea notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of Villa Gordiani's Iker Casillas. Iker Casillas was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. It was a well-played corner which Richard Adamson managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. In the 29th minute Vasco Olarticoechea shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Iker Casillas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Iker Casillas made a fantastic save in the 32nd minute, when Richard Adamson sent off a good shot on target. Martin Jon struck a weak shot in the 33rd minute. Iker Casillas didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Domselaar. You Jing Jun showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Arrigo Marrone in the 37th minute of the match. 37 minutes into the game, Arrigo Marrone cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. You Jing Jun was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Lia Marquez sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Arrigo Marrone fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without You Jing Jun having to interfere. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

In the 56th minute, Arrigo Marrone ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. You Jing Jun was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Lia Marquez in the 59th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg You Jing Jun saved Domselaar from getting behind. Domselaar's You Jing Jun proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 64th minute of the match, managed to save Domselaar from getting a goal against them. You Jing Jun showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lia Marquez, who was totally free with the ball in the 66th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Vasco Olarticoechea in the 71st minute of play forced Villa Gordiani's goalkeeper Iker Casillas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 73rd minute Vasco Olarticoechea shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Iker Casillas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. You Jing Jun showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ove Bergman, who was totally free with the ball in the 85th minute. The corner led Villa Gordiani's Ciro Esposito to fire away a dangerous shot which You Jing Jun despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Richard Adamson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 90th minute. Iker Casillas tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 91 minutes, Ove Bergman mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Villa Gordiani and the Domselaar players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 92nd minute, Ove Bergman hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The Villa Gordiani supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Villa Gordiani would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
