Hugo Orlando Gatti showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Vlad Enceanu in the 14th minute of the match. Everyone was convinced a goal was close when Abuba Akotonon FC's Cecilio Tristan in the 24th minute lifted the ball towards the upper right corner, but Bartolo Salvator was perfectly placed and prevented a goal for San Fernando Eagles through an amazing save. A sloppy throw-in by Victor Viator in the 26th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Abuba Akotonon FC's Lance Veloz. 27 minutes into the match, San Fernando Eagles's goalkeeper Bartolo Salvator had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Cecilio Tristan. Hugo Orlando Gatti took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Polo Quinteros, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Cecilio Tristan came up free with the goalie in the 32nd minute, the Abuba Akotonon FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cecilio Tristan couldn't finish the play. In the 35th minute Cecilio Tristan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bartolo Salvator saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Abuba Akotonon FC were awarded a corner in the 37th minute after San Fernando Eagles's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Genaro Elivareo took the corner. When Cecilio Tristan came up free with the goalie in the 39th minute, the Abuba Akotonon FC fans jumped to their feet. Victor Viator charged in rather forcefully in the 45th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Victor Viator the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Abuba Akotonon FC's Hugo Orlando Gatti played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vlad Enceanu in the 60th minute of play. Vânderson Barbosa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 64th minute. Bartolo Salvator tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Bartolo Salvator made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cecilio Tristan in the 66th minute of play. San Fernando Eagles made a substitution. Daniel Abeitia replaced Elias Navarro. After a rather tough play, San Fernando Eagles's Nicodemo Diestre got a free kick in the 69th minute. 71 minutes into the match, Cecilio Tristan notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of San Fernando Eagles's Bartolo Salvator. Bartolo Salvator was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Cecilio Tristan struck a weak shot in the 75th minute. Bartolo Salvator didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Abuba Akotonon FC. If Vânderson Barbosa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Hugo Orlando Gatti made a fantastic save in the 82nd minute, when Polo Quinteros sent off a good shot on target. In the 83rd minute of the match San Fernando Eagles got a corner. Abuba Akotonon FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Polo Quinteros ran over to the corner to take the kick. In the 88thth minute of the game Cecilio Tristan who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but San Fernando Eagles's Bartolo Salvator was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After 89 minutes, Niceto Chorache mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the San Fernando Eagles and the Abuba Akotonon FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, San Fernando Eagles's Niceto Chorache got a free kick in the 89th minute. Cecilio Tristan struck a weak shot in the 91st minute. Bartolo Salvator didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Abuba Akotonon FC.
