Julius Vanneste stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of João Pirani's shot from short distance in the 17th minute. A collision led to Limburg United getting a freekick after 20 minutes play. Xander Van Aarschot hit a great ball. Limburg United's Julius Vanneste played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Aírton Sousa in the 24th minute of play. In the 25th minute Douglas Debecker shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nelsinho Leite saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. João Pirani fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Julius Vanneste having to interfere. With his leg Julius Vanneste managed to avoid a goal in the 28thth minute, when Vascogoianiense FC's João Pirani fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. 30 minutes into the match, Vascogoianiense FC's goal looked a bit too open when Anthony Standaerts came free, but Nelsinho Leite reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience was convinced that Douglas Debecker's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Nelsinho Leite was relentless in the 31st minute of the game. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Joop Hollandts in the 35th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Nelsinho Leite prevented the ball from getting in the gole. João Pirani's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 36thth minute, Julius Vanneste skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. With his leg Julius Vanneste managed to avoid a goal in the 39thth minute, when Vascogoianiense FC's João Pirani fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Nelsinho Leite showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Douglas Debecker in the 40th minute of the match. In the 44th minute, Dorian Quirino hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Dorian Quirino kicked well hit freekick during the 47th minute of the match. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell João Pirani to make the kick off. With a couple of smart ball manuevers João Pirani in the 54th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Julius Vanneste saved Limburg United from getting behind. Joop Hollandts struck a weak shot in the 55th minute. Nelsinho Leite didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Limburg United. Limburg United's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Gunter Jansens in the 61st minute. The supporters of Limburg United booed when Vascogoianiense FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 66 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dorian Quirino didn't get a good kick on the ball. The crowd rose to their feet as Douglas Debecker kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Nelsinho Leite. That made the score 1-1 in the 67 minute of play. If João Pirani had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 72 minutes into the match, Limburg United's goal looked a bit too open when Gilmar Monteiro came free, but Julius Vanneste reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. João Pirani sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Vascogoianiense FC made a substitution. Válbson Pontes replaced Carlos Eduardo Sergipano. When the match had gone on for 78 minutes, Joop Hollandts put it in 1-2 from a short distance just to the right of Nelsinho Leite. 81 minutes into the match, Limburg United's goal looked a bit too open when Gilmar Monteiro came free, but Julius Vanneste reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a little luck, Vascogoianiense FC's Nelsinho Leite got control of the ball when Douglas Debecker tried to sneak it across the goal line. Matheus Neto sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The Vascogoianiense FC supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Limburg United's performance. The match ended with a win for Limburg United.
