Eurico lago made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bernardo Soares in the 3rd minute of play. After 20 minutes of play, Xapetuba Futebol Clube's Adriano Rodrigues made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Eurico lago was left in no man's land by his defense there! After a rather tough play, Xapetuba Futebol Clube's Amauri de Lima got a free kick in the 29th minute. With his leg Eurico lago managed to avoid a goal in the 35thth minute, when Xapetuba Futebol Clube's Adriano Rodrigues fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Xapetuba Futebol Clube's Flávio Matos got a good chance for a goal in the 38th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The crowd rose to their feet as Xapetuba Futebol Clube's Adriano Rodrigues slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Eurico lago. That made the score 2-0 after 39 minutes of play. Ronald Hurt kicked well hit freekick during the 43rd minute of the match. Eurico lago acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 44th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Amauri de Lima. Tiaguinho da Cunha made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alexandre Luijten in the 46th minute of play. FC Beatriz 08 were awarded a corner in the 47th minute after Xapetuba Futebol Clube's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Alexandre Luijten took the corner. The corner ended in Barto Sánchez almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Xapetuba Futebol Clube's Tiaguinho da Cunha did a great save. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Pepe Bomba to make the kick off. After 54 minutes, Victor Tróia mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Xapetuba Futebol Clube and the FC Beatriz 08 players grew even worse after the yellow card. Tiaguinho da Cunha was a little too slow when Barto Sánchez got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 55th minute. The score was now 2-1. In the 59th match minute, FC Beatriz 08 was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Brian Hutchins to maneuver through the defense. Tiaguinho da Cunha made an important save on a dangerous shot by Barto Sánchez in the 62nd minute. Alexandre Luijten received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 71st minute. Tiaguinho da Cunha tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Jacinto Paraíba's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Eurico lago was relentless in the 74th minute of the game. Eurico lago showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Adriano Rodrigues, who was totally free with the ball in the 75th minute. After a defensive mix-up in FC Beatriz 08's zone, Adriano Rodrigues stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Eurico lago came out of the goal and Adriano Rodrigues tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Xapetuba Futebol Clube made a substitution. Patrick Neiva replaced Jacinto Paraíba. When Barto Sánchez came up free with the goalie in the 86th minute, the FC Beatriz 08 fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Barto Sánchez couldn't finish the play. Tiaguinho da Cunha showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Pepe Bomba, who was totally free with the ball in the 88th minute. In the 89th minute of the match FC Beatriz 08 got a corner. Xapetuba Futebol Clube's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Alexandre Luijten ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner led to FC Beatriz 08's Altino Palha getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. Patrick Neiva fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eurico lago having to interfere. Barto Sánchez could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 93rd minute of the match, but Tiaguinho da Cunha made a huge save. Eurico lago showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Patrick Neiva in the 95th minute of the match. Xapetuba Futebol Clube's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
