Shen Xun started the match with the kick off. Rodriguinho Lara stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Rigoberto Thomas's shot from short distance in the 3rd minute. In the 5th minute, Gökhan Şen hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Santa Maradona's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Haroldo Martxot in the 8th minute. Gervasio Garcia was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. After some careless play in the KARŞIYAKA defense, Rigoberto Thomas kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Rodriguinho Lara. The KARŞIYAKA fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Rodriguinho Lara should have stopped the shot. Shen Xun sent away a hard shot on goal in the 13th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Atalan Zaik hit a great freekick 14 minutes into the match. Santa Maradona's Haroldo Martxot got a good chance for a goal in the 15th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Santa Maradona's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Haroldo Martxot in the 22nd minute. In the 23rd match minute, KARŞIYAKA was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gökhan Şen to maneuver through the defense. After 24 minutes of play, Santa Maradona's Rodolfo Cordeiro made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Rodriguinho Lara was left in no man's land by his defense there! 30 minutes into the game, Mehmet Efe Akabe cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-2. Jonathan Errapel was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rigoberto Thomas in the 41st minute of play forced KARŞIYAKA's goalkeeper Rodriguinho Lara to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Rodriguinho Lara showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Miguel Transito, who was totally free with the ball in the 45th minute. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-2 lead.

Santa Maradona made a substitution. Herminio Birila replaced Samuel Refugio. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Rodolfo Cordeiro to strike the kick off in the second half. 53 minutes into the game, Rodolfo Cordeiro recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Rodriguinho Lara. Rodolfo Cordeiro showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-3. In the 58thth minute of the game Rodolfo Cordeiro who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but KARŞIYAKA's Rodriguinho Lara was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 58 minutes into the game, Rodolfo Cordeiro lined in a short shot 1-4 behind a frustrated Rodriguinho Lara. After 60 played minutes KARŞIYAKA got a freekick which was hit by Emre Kurtuluş. If Rigoberto Thomas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. KARŞIYAKA's defense didn't have a chance, in the 67th minute, when Rigoberto Thomas scored to the left of an out of position Rodriguinho Lara, making the score, 1-5. Rodolfo Cordeiro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rodriguinho Lara having to interfere. 79 minutes into the match, Rodolfo Cordeiro notched a goal, 1-7, to the right of KARŞIYAKA's Rodriguinho Lara. Rodriguinho Lara was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. KARŞIYAKA's Rodriguinho Lara played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rigoberto Thomas in the 81st minute of play. With a little luck, KARŞIYAKA's Rodriguinho Lara got control of the ball when Rodolfo Cordeiro tried to sneak it across the goal line. Rodriguinho Lara took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Miguel Transito, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 87th minute Rodolfo Cordeiro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rodriguinho Lara saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Miguel Transito sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Rodolfo Cordeiro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rodriguinho Lara having to interfere. Jonathan Errapel showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Shen Xun in the 96th minute of the match. When Santa Maradona's Rigoberto Thomas in the 98th minute got a chance for a shot 98th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye KARŞIYAKA's goalie prevented a goal. Santa Maradona's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
