If Fernando Gizon had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Angel Alvarenga took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 22nd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Prudencio Olando. PARA QUE TE TRAJE's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Nery Pumpido was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Dionisio Polo showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-0 in the 26 minute of play. A collision led to GuateFortín getting a freekick after 29 minutes play. Thierry Henry hit a great ball. GuateFortín's Nery Pumpido proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 30th minute of the match, managed to save GuateFortín from getting a goal against them. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

PARA QUE TE TRAJE's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Mario Gomez was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-2. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
