The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Emerson Leão took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sergio Agüero, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a defensive mix-up in Laguna Sunrise FC's zone, Sergio Agüero stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Emerson Leão came out of the goal and Sergio Agüero tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 22 minutes into the match, Programayin's Sergio Agüero sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Emerson Leão narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Sergio Agüero in the 25th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Emerson Leão prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Programayin were awarded a corner in the 26th minute after Laguna Sunrise FC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Antonio Florian took the corner. Claude Pradias received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 32nd minute. Emerson Leão tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 34th minute Ansu Fatić shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Emerson Leão saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 36thth minute of the game Sergio Agüero who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Laguna Sunrise FC's Emerson Leão was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Emerson Leão made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ansu Fatić in the 38th minute of play. Hans-Jürgen Pötscher took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Paulinho Hoffmann, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of Programayin booed when Laguna Sunrise FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 42 match minutes in a wonderful position. Anísio Cordeiro didn't get a good kick on the ball. Anísio Cordeiro hit a great freekick 44 minutes into the match. In the 45th minute, Paulinho Hoffmann hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 47th minute, Laguna Sunrise FC's Paulinho Hoffmann dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Paulinho Hoffmann made a kick off. With his leg Emerson Leão managed to avoid a goal in the 54thth minute, when Programayin's Jackson Fügli fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Jackson Fügli's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Emerson Leão firmly grabbed it by the left post. 59 minutes had been played when some careless play by Laguna Sunrise FC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Antonio Florian was slow to take the kick. During this time Programayin's players had a chance to rest. A nice corner shot did that Antonio Florian got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Emerson Leão quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. 62 minutes into the match, Laguna Sunrise FC's goalkeeper Emerson Leão had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Jackson Fügli. Arnaldo Marquez kicked well hit freekick during the 62nd minute of the match. In the 67th minute of the match Programayin got a corner. Laguna Sunrise FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Antonio Florian ran over to the corner to take the kick. In the 71st minute, Jackson Fügli ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Emerson Leão was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. Emerson Leão made an important save on a dangerous shot by Jackson Fügli in the 78th minute. After some careless play in the Laguna Sunrise FC defense, Jackson Fügli kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Emerson Leão. The Laguna Sunrise FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Emerson Leão should have stopped the shot. In the 84th minute Jackson Fügli shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Emerson Leão saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 85 minutes into the match, Jackson Fügli notched a goal, 1-3, to the right of Laguna Sunrise FC's Emerson Leão. Emerson Leão was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Dorian Vianna might have been able to make a better finish in the 88th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Emerson Leão. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Dorian Vianna ran back to his position shaking his head. After 94 played minutes Laguna Sunrise FC got a freekick which was hit by Christiano Correia. Jackson Fügli struck a weak shot in the 96th minute. Emerson Leão didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Programayin. Programayin played a much better game than Laguna Sunrise FC and deserved their victory. The Laguna Sunrise FC players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
