HFA FC's Gordon Banks played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Piotr Kociniewski in the 4th minute of play. 8 minutes into the match, HFA FC's goal looked a bit too open when Piotr Kociniewski came free, but Gordon Banks reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Piotr Kociniewski took the ball and in the 10 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Gordon Banks. Gordon Banks dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Rothenburg SSA's Artur Borubar played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Serafino Chinto in the 12th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Serafino Chinto in the 12th minute of play forced Rothenburg SSA's goalkeeper Artur Borubar to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gordon Banks made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Radoslaw Michalski in the 14th minute of play. In the 18th minute, Kajetan Pruss ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Gordon Banks was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. Gordon Banks showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kajetan Pruss, who was totally free with the ball in the 21st minute. In the 29th minute, Zbyszek Werra ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Gordon Banks was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-3. An unexpectedly hard shot by Piotr Kociniewski in the 33rd minute of play forced HFA FC's goalkeeper Gordon Banks to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Artur Borubar made a fantastic save in the 35th minute, when Serafino Chinto sent off a good shot on target. In the 37th minute the ball was on its way in behind Rothenburg SSA's goalkeeper Artur Borubar, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Gordon Banks showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Piotr Kociniewski in the 38th minute of the match. 40 minutes into the match, Rothenburg SSA's goal looked a bit too open when C.J. De la Sotta came free, but Artur Borubar reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 44 minutes into the match, Kajetan Pruss had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Gordon Banks. HFA FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Kajetan Pruss was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-4. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-4 lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Kajetan Pruss to strike the kick off in the second half. Kajetan Pruss who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 51stth minute tested the skills of Gordon Banks when he managed to save the team from getting behind. 57 minutes into the match, HFA FC's goalkeeper Gordon Banks had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Kajetan Pruss. In the 59th minute of the match Rothenburg SSA got a corner. HFA FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Lucjan Golaszewski ran over to the corner to take the kick. With a little luck, HFA FC's Gordon Banks got control of the ball when Kajetan Pruss tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 65th match minute, HFA FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Candido Estevon to maneuver through the defense. Rothenburg SSA's Zachariasz Ratulowski was substituted for Zbyszek Werra. The supporters of Rothenburg SSA booed when HFA FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 66 match minutes in a wonderful position. Candido Estevon didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a rather tough play, HFA FC's Hermengildo Gorka got a free kick in the 69th minute. Rothenburg SSA's Artur Borubar played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hermengildo Gorka in the 74th minute of play. HFA FC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by C.J. De la Sotta in the 75th minute. The corner ended in C.J. De la Sotta almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Rothenburg SSA's Artur Borubar did a great save. A collision led to Rothenburg SSA getting a freekick after 78 minutes play. Rafal Imbor hit a great ball. Antoni Grondzki lost his temper 79 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. In a very dangerous position, a player in Rothenburg SSA fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 78th minute. Penalty! 82 minutes into the game, Radoslaw Michalski recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Gordon Banks. Radoslaw Michalski showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-5. The referee felt a red card was in order, 85 minutes into the game, when Basilio Evarado put in a rough tackle. In the 85th match minute, HFA FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Basilio Evarado to maneuver through the defense. Kajetan Prusss short, quick shot in the 86thth minute got Gordon Banks to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. After 90 played minutes HFA FC got a freekick which was hit by Serafino Chinto. When the final whistle sounded Rothenburg SSA left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than HFA FC.
