An unexpectedly hard shot by Romão Mourato in the 8th minute of play forced Szombathely Squirrels's goalkeeper Arnold Szuper to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Romão Mourato's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Arnold Szuper read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 10th minute of play. Arnold Szuper took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Romão Mourato, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Roneros F.C.'s Washington Piedrahita got a good chance for a goal in the 13th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Roneros F.C.'s Jaume Vasquez got a free kick in the 15th minute. Arnold Szuper showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Romão Mourato, who was totally free with the ball in the 17th minute. In the 20thth minute of the game Romão Mourato who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Szombathely Squirrels's Arnold Szuper was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 21st minute Roneros F.C. were awarded a corner. Cordero Aberasturi went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner led Roneros F.C.'s Carlos Gardel to fire away a dangerous shot which Arnold Szuper despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Romão Mourato couldn't finish the play. Arnold Szuper didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Romão Mourato went, in the 46th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-3 was the resulting score. After the first half Roneros F.C. were leading 0-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Romão Mourato made a kick off. 53 minutes into the match, Romão Mourato had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Arnold Szuper. Szombathely Squirrels's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Romão Mourato was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-4. Arnold Szuper didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Romão Mourato went, in the 60th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-5 was the resulting score. Roneros F.C. made a substitution. Jiang Sha replaced Washington Piedrahita. In the 66thth minute of the game Romão Mourato who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Szombathely Squirrels's Arnold Szuper was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Despite this Arnold Szuper quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. In the 83rdth minute of the game Witomir Jestrimski who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Szombathely Squirrels's Arnold Szuper was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When the match was over Roneros F.C. could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Szombathely Squirrels throughout the match.
