In the 6th minute, Conrad Vrolijcx fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Ramzi Drouart received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Christian Wenerdahl came out and tried to block the shot, but Ramzi Drouart slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 10th minute. Ramzi Drouart fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Christian Wenerdahl having to interfere. A collision led to IFK Göteborg getting a freekick after 17 minutes play. Karl-Ove Blomkvist hit a great ball. The audience was convinced that Ramzi Drouart's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Christian Wenerdahl was relentless in the 19th minute of the game. Christian Wenerdahl made a fantastic save in the 20th minute, when Ramzi Drouart sent off a good shot on target. Conrad Vrolijcx received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 22nd minute. Christian Wenerdahl tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 24 minutes into the match, IFK Göteborg's goal looked a bit too open when Ramzi Drouart came free, but Christian Wenerdahl reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 37 played minutes IFK Göteborg got a freekick which was hit by Bernt Öfverman. The crowd rose to their feet as Ramzi Drouart kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Christian Wenerdahl. That made the score 4-0 in the 38 minute of play. If Ramzi Drouart had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Christian Wenerdahl made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ramzi Drouart in the 43rd minute. Bianco Arcari hit a great freekick 47 minutes into the match. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 4-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Karl-Ove Blomkvist stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Ramzi Drouart took the ball and in the 54 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Christian Wenerdahl. Christian Wenerdahl dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 5-0. Ramzi Drouart sent away a hard shot on goal in the 58th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 58th minute Ramzi Drouart shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Christian Wenerdahl saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Christian Wenerdahl made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ramzi Drouart in the 62nd minute of play. IFK Göteborg's Christian Wenerdahl played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ramzi Drouart in the 64th minute of play. After some careless play in the IFK Göteborg defense, Ramzi Drouart kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Christian Wenerdahl. The IFK Göteborg fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Christian Wenerdahl should have stopped the shot. Önder Kaçan took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 71st minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Christian Wenerdahl. IFK Göteborg's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Haithabu FC made a substitution. Adrian Astigar replaced Harold Van Cruchten. Christian Wenerdahl didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Ramzi Drouart went, in the 76th minute, to the upper right corner, 7-0 was the resulting score. Christian Wenerdahl came out of the goal in the 82nd minute to try and stop a shot by Haithabu FC's Jacinto Torres. But to his dismay, Jacinto Torres quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 8-0. 85 minutes into the game, Jacinto Torres cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 9-0. Christian Wenerdahl was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 88 minutes into the match, Haithabu FC's Jacinto Torres sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Christian Wenerdahl narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 90 minutes into the game, Haithabu FC's Jacinto Torres nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Christian Wenerdahl made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 10-0. Haithabu FC walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
