A nice corner shot did that Peter Östensson got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Donato Souza quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. In the 25th minute, Flamengo's Qiao Nan Wen dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-0. Flamengo were awarded a corner in the 29th minute after Renascer's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Li Nan Yu took the corner. Li Nan Yu made a great header on Flamengo's corner, it was just that Renascer's Donato Souza managed to reach the ball for a save. If Qiao Nan Wen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Donato Souza made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Qiao Nan Wen in the 31st minute of play. 38 minutes into the game, Vinícius de Andrade was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. The wind increased when Qiao Nan Wen made the kick off in the second half. The referee gave Flamengo a penalty, 61 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Stig-Arne Ekerot, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Renascer's Donato Souza. 4-1. After a rather tough play, Renascer's Luisão Favoretto got a free kick in the 68th minute. Donato Souza showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kasper Bivall, who was totally free with the ball in the 70th minute. Kasper Bivall's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Donato Souza read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 74th minute of play. Flamengo's Stig-Arne Ekerot was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Donato Souza in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. In the 79th minute the ball was on its way in behind Renascer's goalkeeper Donato Souza, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 80th minute of the match Flamengo got a corner. Renascer's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Li Nan Yu ran over to the corner to take the kick. When Flamengo's Kasper Bivall in the 84th minute got a chance for a shot 84th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kasper Bivall in the 97th minute of play forced Renascer's goalkeeper Donato Souza to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Flamengo's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
